Lt. This device is utilized by the U.S. Armed Forces to expeditiously manage life support systems while injured troops are transported from the a remote field environment to a better-equipped medical facility. The en route care training class was offered as part of exercise Javelin Thrust 2009, a large-scale exercise with more than 2,600 Marines and sailors. Javelin Thrust was designed to give reserve units practice in a wide range of combat and logistics capabilities to prepare Reserve units for their role in a deployed Marine Air Ground Task Force
