JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J. -- Cpl. Harold W. Trowbridge III, a native of Cleveland, Cpl. Joshua Taylor-Lehman, a native of Centerville, Mich., and Cpl. Nathan Clark, a native of Ridley Park, Pa., listen to LtGen. Steven Hummer, Commander, Marine Forces Reserve, answer questions from Corporal’s Course students at Marine Wing Support Squadron 472. During the visit, Hummer talked with Marines about a range of issues, from the ongoing fight in Afghanistan to changes in Marine Corps structure and pay and benefits issues for active and reserve Marines. He emphasized the importance of the Reserve in the total force, stating, “Every commander out there will tell you that they could not do what they do without the Reserve.” The Marine units at JB MDL recently relocated to the all-services base from sites in Pennsylvania.
