SGT Tiffany A. Atkins‚Äč 

 


 

Sergeant Atkins serves as a Military Police Officer (5811) with 4th Law Enforcement Battalion, Company B, North Versailles, PA. She enlisted in the Marine Corps in April 2013 from RSS Robinson, PA. Sergeant Atkins completed recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina in August 2013 where she received the Molly Marine Award and was chosen for promotion to Private First Class. Following the completion of recruit training, Sergeant Atkins attended Marine Combat Training (MCT) at Camp Geiger, North Carolina. After Graduating from MCT, Sergeant Atkins attended the Military Police Officer course at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri where she was promoted to Lance Corporal. Upon completion, Sergeant Atkins was assigned to 4th Law Enforcement Battalion, Bravo Company where she was promoted to Corporal in 2016. In 2018 she was promoted to Sergeant where she has since served as a Military Police Officer and Platoon Sergeant.

Sergeant Atkins attended Camp Lejeune in 2015 in support of the Fourth of July event. There Sergeant Atkins taught Fleet Assistant Program Marines the duties of gate guard, how to interact with victims, suspects and questioning along with her regular duties and training. In 2016 Sergeant Atkins attended Cherry Point, North Carolina. There she was in charge of a squad of Marines, night shift operations, along with her regular duties and training. During the summer of 2017, she attended training in Muraco where she taught various joint operations during African Lion. In July 2019 Sergeant Atkins was recognized as one of two Marines by the Company Commander and Sergeant Major for outstanding performance and perseverance within the company. In August 2019, Sergeant Atkins was mobilized in support of Eager Lion in Jordan. Sergeant Atkins supervised the execution and coordination of movements to and from ranges, receiving and dropping off ammunition, teaching convoy operations to the Jordanian Marines, coordinating the security for a top secret facility, and the execution of Bravo Company’s duty rosters and assignments. While in Jordan, Sergeant Atkins was the lead instructor teaching Lance Corporal Seminar. Sergeant Atkins regularly supports ADOS where she has completed over 200 funerals along with volunteering for Toys for Tot’s events. In 2019, Sergeant Atkins oversaw the coordination and execution of the Marine Corps Ball for Bravo Company and Surgical Company. In August 2020, Sergeant Atkins was mobilized with Task Force Commitment for COVID-19 operations where she filled the SNCOIC position for Military Police.

Sergeant Atkins attended La Roche University where she received a bachelor’s degree in health science. Her goal is to receive her doctorate in prosthetics and orthotics. In her free time, she volunteers as head coach for Baldwin High School Woman’s Soccer Program, a board member for Operation Vet Now Inc. and teaches special needs children how to play sports. She was selected for NCO of the quarter while mobilized with Task Force Commitment and was later selected as the NCOQ for the Force Headquarters Group, receiving a Certificate of Accommodation in May of 2021. 

Her decorations include the National Defense Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with one gold star, Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Selected, Selected Marine Corps Reserve Medal with one bronze star, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M Device, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and Armed Forces Service Medal.
