ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

UNITAS 2022
U.S. Navy Landing Craft, Utility 1663 enters the well deck of the amphibious transport dock ship USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) during embarkation operations off the coast of Brazil, Sept. 6, 2022. Marines and their equipment embarked the Mesa Verde in preparation for amphibious training events during exercise UNITAS LXIII. UNITAS is the world’s longest-running annual multinational maritime exercise that focuses on enhancing interoperability among multiple nations and joint forces during littoral and amphibious operations in order to build on existing regional partnerships and create new enduring relationships that promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the U.S. Southern Command’s area of responsibility.
