Age 40, Washington, D.C. Sgt Cahir died from wounds sustained while supporting combat operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 4th Civil Affairs Group, based out of Washington D.C. While deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, his unit was attached to Brigade Headquarters Group, Marine Expeditionary Brigade-Afghanistan. He died on August 13, 2009.
Age 22, Beaver Dam, Wisconsin Pfc. Cantafio died as a result of enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to the Marine Corps Reserve’s 2nd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Chicago, Illinois. He died on November 25, 2004.
Age 20, Lawton, Michigan LCpl Castillo was killed while conducting combat operations in the Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 24th Marines, 4th Marine Division, Lansing, Michigan and attached to Regimental Combat Team-5, I Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward). He died on January 20, 2007.
Age 26, Austin, Texas LCpl Castleberry died while conducting combat operations outside Haditha, Iraq. He was assigned to Marine Forces Reserve’s 4th Reconnaissance Battalion, 4th Marine Division, San Antonio, Texas. He died on August 1, 2005.
Age 41, Layton, Utah SSgt Cawley died while conducting combat operations in Iraq. He was assigned to F Company, 2ns Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Salt Lake City, Utah. He died on March 29, 2003.
Age 19, Yorba Linda, California LCpl Centanni died while supporting combat operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to Headquarters and Service Company, 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, headquartered in Camp Pendleton, Calif. While deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, his unit was attached to Marine Expeditionary Brigade-Afghanistan. He died on March 24, 2010.
Age 22, San Antonio, Texas Sgt Cepeda died while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to Marine Forces Reserve’s 3rd Battalion, 25th Regiment, 4th Division, San Antonio, Texas. As part of Operation Iraqi Freedom his unit was attached to 2ns Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward). He died on May 7, 2005.
Age 25, Fairfield, Ohio LCpl Cifuentes died while conducting combat operations south of Haditha, Iraq. He was assigned to Marine Forces Reserve’s 4rd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Columbus, Ohio. As part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, he was attached to Regimental Combat Team 2, 2ns Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward). He died on August 3, 2005.
Age 31, Sherwood, Oregon Capt. Contreras was killed while conducting combat operations near Jaliba Air Base, Iraq. He was assigned to Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 169, Marine Air Group 39, 3d Marine Air Wing, Camp Pendleton, California. He died on April 1, 2003.
Age 23, Cedar Knolls, New Jersey LCpl Cosgrove died while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to Marine Forces Reserve’s 2nd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Dover, New Jersey. He died on October 1, 2006.

He was assigned to the Marine Force Reserve’s 3rd Civil Affairs Group, Camp Pendleton, California. During Operation Iraqi Freedom his unit was attached to II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward). He died on May 26, 2005.

While deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, he was assigned to 1st Marine Logistics Group (FWD), I Marine Expeditionary Force (FWD). He died on October 19, 2010.
