Age 28, Crawford, Ohio SSgt Ivy was killed while conducting combat operations against enemy forces in Karabilah, Iraq. He was assigned to Marine Forces Reserve, 4th Marine Division, 1st Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment as part of operation Iraqi Freedom. He was attached to Regimental Combat Team 2, 2nd Marine Division, II MEF (Forward). He died on May 11, 2005.
