Command Master Chief Johnson is a native of Fort Worth, Texas and graduated from Everman High School in 1996. Master Chief Johnson attended Recruit Training Command Great lakes, IL. After boot camp, he attended Basic Seamanship in Great Lakes, IL.

Master Chief Johnson’s initial duty stations were the USS Gunston Hall (LSD-44) in Little Creek, VA; Construction Electrician “A” School in Wichita Falls, TX; Naval Mobile Construction Battalion SEVEN completing deployments to Puerto Rico, Honduras, and Okinawa; Naval Air Station Public Works Department in Sigonella, Sicily; Naval Construction Group TWO (formerly known as 20th Seabee Readiness Group) in Gulfport, MS. Promoting to Chief in 2008 he reported to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion SEVENTY-FOUR, Gulfport, MS and deployed to Kuwait as the Camp Maintenance and Electrical Projects Chief then redeployed as the Operations Chief for the Blue Detachment for Ghanzi, Afghanistan. His next deployment he deployed to Camp Leatherneck in Afghanistan then redeployed to Combat Outpost Payne as the Assistant Officer in Charge and Senior Enlisted Leader in the Helmand Province. Promoting to Senior Chief in 2011, he reported to Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineering Detachment Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas as the Operations Chief, then fleeted up to the Assistant Officer in Charge and Senior Enlisted Leader for the Construction Electrician & Utilitiesman “A” School. He promoted to Master Chief in 2015 and reported to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion ONE THREE THREE, where he was assigned as DET THREE Senior Enlisted Leader then deployed as Bravo Company Chief to Camp Mitchell in Rota, Spain.

Master Chief Johnson was selected for Command Master Chief Petty Officer in 2015. His Command Master Chief tours include Naval Construction Training Center, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion FOUR, where he completed two deployments to the Pacific; TWENTY-SECOND Naval Construction Regiment; Navy Expeditionary Combat Forces Central Bahrain/Task Force FIVE SIX; 2d Marine Logistics Group, Camp Lejeune, NC. Master Chief Johnson is currently serving as Command Master Chief of Marine Forces Reserves/Marine Forces South (MARFORRES/MARFORSOUTH).

Master Chief Johnson is a graduate of the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat (CMC/COB) Course (163), Senior Enlisted Academy (Brown Group 148), National Defense University Keystone Course (22-2), the Navy Senior Leadership Seminar, and U.S. Fleet Forces Executive Leadership Symposium, and the New Flag and Senior Executive Training Symposium (NFLEX). CMDCM Johnson is Fleet Marine Force Warfare, Seabee Combat Warfare and Expeditionary Warfare qualified. His decorations include Navy Meritorious Service Medal (3 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (6 awards), Combat Action Ribbon and various other campaign and service awards.
