Age 25, Cordova, Tennessee Petty Officer 2nd Class Qi died from wounds sustained while supporting combat operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, based out of Camp Pendleton, Calif. While deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, his unit was attached to Marine Expeditionary Brigade-Afghanistan. He died on January 23, 2010.
Age 20, Temple, Texas Lance Cpl. Qualls died as result of enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to the Marine Corps Reserve’s 2nd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Grand Prairie, Texas. He died on November 16, 2004.
