Robins, a career planner with the Marine Individual Reserve Support Organization, Marine Forces Reserve, during a mud grappling bout at the final event of the Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor Course here, Sept. 14, 2011. By fighting each other, the Marines get to practice the techniques they have learned, but also feel how it is to fight while being physically drained. The 15-day course prepared the Marines for the rigorous final event in which they endured eight hours of combat conditioning, ground fighting, and hiking more than six miles with a full combat load.
