He affiliated with the Marine Corps Reserve in 2003. Maj. Craig Abele (right), served with Murphy as the battalion’s intelligence officer. Abele, who has spent the past seven of his 16 years in the Corps as a reservist, is currently attending Marine Corps Command and Staff College full-time in Quantico, Va. He is scheduled to graduate in June with a master’s degree in military science.
