The Command Inspector General (CIG) is the eyes, ears, and conscience of the Commander and is dedicated to promote effectiveness, efficiency, discipline, morale, economy, ethics integrity and combat readiness. This shall be accomplished through impartial and independent inspections, assessments, inquiries, investigations, teaching, and training at each level of warfighting. The CIG is divided into two Branches: Inspections and Investigations.
