Captain Nathan D. Crandall
Inspector-Instructor
Support Company, 4th Law Enforcement Battalion

Captain Crandall is a native of Beaufort, SC. He graduated from Beaufort High School in 2017. He attended the University of South Carolina, graduating Officer Candidate School through the Platoon Leadership Course in 2020 and earned his commission into the Marine Corps in May 2021.

Upon commissioning, Second Lieutenant Crandall reported to The Basic School (TBS), Marine Corps Base (MCB) Quantico, VA. There he received the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 5803 (Military Police). Upon graduating from TBS, Second Lieutenant Crandall received orders to Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Provost Marshal Office (PMO). Here he preformed the duties of Watch Commander/Plt Commander.

Second Lieutenant Crandall was promoted to First Lieutenant in May 2023. In April 2024 First Lieutenant Crandall was reassigned as the PMO Operations Officer. In August 2024 First Lieutenant Crandall attended Marine Advisor Course, gaining the additional MOS of 0570. In July 2025, First Lieutenant Crandall promoted to Captain.

In July 2025 Captain Crandall received orders to attend Expeditionary Warfare School (EWS) aboard MCB Quantico, VA. Upon completion of EWS Captain Crandall received orders to 4th Law Enforcement Battalion, Detachment Support Company I&I.

Captain Crandall's personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
