Lance Cpl. Spencer was killed while conducting combat operations in the Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to Bravo Company, 3^rd Battalion, 24^th Marines, 4^th Marine Division, Nashville, Tennessee and attached to Regimental Combat Team-5, I Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward). He died on December 28, 2006.
