Sgt. Strong died as a result of hostile action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to the Marine Corps Reserve’s 4^th Combat Engineer Battalion, 4^th Marine Division, headquartered in Lynchburg, Virginia. He died on January 26, 2005.
