Cadesman Pope is a native of San Angelo, TX and graduated from high school in 2012. From 2012 to 2013 he attended the Naval Academy Prep School. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2017 with a B.S. in Operations Research and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant. He graduated from The Basic School in 2018 and the Infantry Officers Course in 2018.

2ndLt Pope reported to First Battalion, Fifth Marines in 2018 where he served as a Combined Anti-Armor Platoon Commander, Weapons Company and Battalion Assistant Operations Officer. During this time, he deployed on the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and the Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force- Customs and Border Protection (SPMAGTF-CBP).

1stLt Pope then received orders to the Naval Postgraduate School as a student in the Information Warfare Systems Engineering Curriculum. While at Naval Postgraduate School he promoted to Captain and graduated from Expeditionary Warfare School (Non-resident). He graduated from the Naval Postgraduate School with Master of Science degree in Information Warfare Systems Engineering.

In 2023 Captain Pope reported to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit Command Element where he served as the Technical Information Operations Officer from July 2023 to March 2025. During this time the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit deployed to the European Command area of Operations in support of crisis response. This deployment included exercises around the Baltic Sea, and the Eastern Mediterranean Sea.

Captain Pope reported to 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marines and immediately took command of Kilo Company. As the Kilo Company Commander, Captain Pope deployed to Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in support of Joint Task Force - Southern Guard. Upon redeployment from Cuba, Captain Pope assumed command of Headquarter and Service Company, leading them through and accelerated workup for a 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit deployment.
