First Sergeant Blair T. Johnson is a native of West Fargo, North Dakota. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in July 2005 and attended Recruit Training at MCRD San Diego. Upon completion of bootcamp, he reported to Camp Pendelton, CA to Infantry Training Battalion (ITB) at the School of Infantry (SOI). He completed ITB in January 2005 and earned the MOS of 0311.
In January 2005 Private Johnson reported to Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, MCAGTF 29 Palms, CA. While there, PFC Johnson deployed to Iraq in support of OIF 5-7 in February 2006.
In September 2007, while attached to C Co. 1/7, Lance Corporal Johnson deployed to Iraq in support of OIF 7-9.
In February 2009, while attached to C Co. 1/7, Corporal Johnson deployed to Iraq in support of OIF 9-11.
In July 2009, Corporal Johnson was discharged from active duty with an Honorable Discharge. He transitioned to the Individual Ready Reserve (IRR).
In December 2009 Corporal Johnson reenlisted into the Select Marine Corps Reserves (SMCR) from the IRR. Upon affiliating with the SMCR, he joined Military Police Company detachment in Wahpeton, North Dakota. Immediately upon affiliating with the SMCR, Corporal Johnson reported to Military Police Academy, Fort Leonard Wood, MO and upon graduation earned the MOS of 5811. At MP Co, he served as a Team Leader and Squad Leader.
In November 2014, Staff Sergeant Johnson reported to Support Company Detachment, 4th Law Enforcement Battalion, in Wahpeton, North Dakota. He served as a Platoon Sergeant and Company Gunnery Sergeant.
In November 2023, Gunnery Sergeant Johnson reported to Support Company(-), 4th Law Enforcement Battalion in Kirtland Airforce Base, Albuquerque, MN where he served as the Company Gunnery Sergeant.
In April 2026, First Sergeant Johnson reported to Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 24th Regiment, 4th Marine Division, located in Lansing, Michigan, where he is currently serving as the Company First Sergeant.
First Sergeant Johnson's personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and Combat Action Ribbon.
