In February 2026, First Sergeant Talbot assumed duties as the Company First Sergeant for Delta Company, 4th Combat Engineer Battalion, in Knoxville, Tennessee.
First Sergeant Talbot’s previous assignments include serving as an Anti-Tank Assaultman with the Weapons Platoon, Echo Company, 2d Battalion, 3d Marine Regiment, in Kāneʻohe Bay, Hawaii, from 1999 to 2001. He subsequently served as a Reconnaissance Marine with 2d Platoon, Alpha Company, 3d Reconnaissance Battalion, in Okinawa, Japan, from 2001 to 2003.
In 2003, Corporal Talbot was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps and transferred to the Individual Ready Reserve. In 2008, he joined Bravo Company, 4th Reconnaissance Battalion, in Smyrna, Georgia, where he served as a Reconnaissance Team Leader.
In 2009, Sergeant Talbot was mobilized in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and served as the Special Equipment Noncommissioned Officer for 5th Platoon, Bravo Company, 3d Reconnaissance Battalion. During this deployment, he participated in Operation MOSHTARAK in Marjah, Afghanistan, and earned the Combat Action Ribbon.
In 2015, Staff Sergeant Talbot was appointed as the Staff Noncommissioned Officer in Charge of the Reconnaissance Training Platoon for Bravo Company, 4th Reconnaissance Battalion. In 2016, he assumed duties as the company’s Operations Chief.
In 2017, Gunnery Sergeant Talbot volunteered to deploy in support of the Wounded Warrior Regiment as a District Injured Support Coordinator (DISC). He completed specialized training in veterans’ benefits, suicide prevention, and peer support. In this role, Gunnery Sergeant Talbot served as a patient advocate and care coordinator for wounded, ill, and injured veterans and assisted hundreds of disabled veterans throughout the United States. In 2023, First Sergeant Talbot was recognized as the 2023 DISC of the Year by the Marine Corps Association and Foundation.
In July 2023, First Sergeant Talbot assumed duties as the Company First Sergeant for Headquarters Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 45 (CLR-45), in Marietta, Georgia. During this assignment, he served as the Senior Enlisted Leader during Operation NORTHERN STRIKE 24-2, Battle Skills Training School 2025, and Marine Week Atlanta 2025. In December 2025, CLR-45 was redesignated as 4th Combat Readiness Regiment.
First Sergeant Talbot’s personal awards include three Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and one Certificate of Commendation.
He serves as a Senior Federal Air Marshal at the Atlanta Field Office. He holds an Associate of Applied Technology degree in Drafting and Design from Gwinnett Technical College, earned in 2006; a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Southern Polytechnic State University, earned in 2010; and a Master of Public Administration from Kennesaw State University, earned in 2024.
