Captain Bunker is a native of Corpus Christi Texas. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Geography. While there he attended Officer Candidate School in summer 2015 and 2016. He then was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant October 2016.

Second Lieutenant Bunker then attended The Basic School (TBS) in Quantico, Virginia from November 2017 through June 2018. Second Lieutenant checked into 2d Transportation Support Battalion (2d TSB), June 2017. In September 2017, he attended Logistics Officers Course.

At 2d TSB he served as Motor Transport 2nd Platoon Commander, Bravo Company. In September 2018 his platoon chopped over to Combat Logistics Battalion 2 in support of Trident Juncture 18. He was then promoted to First Lieutenant October 2018

In November 2018 he chopped back over to 2d TSB and assumed the roles of Bravo Company Executive Officer. From October 2019 to May 2020 First Lieutenant Bunker was assigned as an Individual Augment to NATO Special Operation Component Command - Afghanistan/Special Operations Joint Task Force - Afghanistan and deployed to Afghanistan and worked in the G4 as the Base Optimization Officer.

On 1 January 2021 he was promoted to Captain and in June 2021 Captain Bunker checked into Marine Corps Systems Command and served as a Project Officer for Global Combat Support System - Marine Corps.

In June of 2024, Captain Bunker checked into 2d ANGLICO, Camp Lejeune, NC as the S-4 Logistics Officer and supported 6 Multinational Exercises. He was promoted to Major on 3 February 2026.

Major Bunker’s personal awards consist of a Defense Meritorious Service, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals.
