Col Hines was commissioned via the Platoon Leaders Class – Combined in 2001 after graduating from Louisiana State University and has served in Active Component (AC), Selected Marine Corps Reserve (SMCR), and Active Reserve (AR) capacities over his career. He has been an AR Officer since 2012.
Colonel Hines’ AC, SMCR, and AR assignments include tours in 3d Marine Division, 3d Marine Aircraft Wing, 1st and 4th Marine Logistics Groups, Headquarters Marine Corps Forces Reserve, Marine Corps Recruiting Command, Force Headquarters Group, and I and II Marine Expeditionary Forces. His deployments include tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and SPMAGTF-Africa.
Colonel Hines earned a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University, a Master of Science in Business from the University of Kansas, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the Marine Corps War College. He is a graduate of The Basic School, Logistics Officers Course, Expeditionary Warfare School (DEP), Intermediate MAGTF Logistics Operations Course, resident Army Command and General Staff College, and resident Marine Corps War College.
Colonel Hines is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
