Lieutenant Colonel Lenore Livingston is a native of Long Island, New York and was commissioned through the Navy Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) Program from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio in May of 2008. After The Basic School she reported to MATSG-21, Air Traffic Control School, Pensacola, Florida graduating from Air Traffic Control School (ACAl) in October 2009.
Second Lieutenant Livingston then reported to detachment A, MACS-2, MACG -28, Beaufort, South Carolina and earned her training and readiness qualifications for an Air Traffic Control Officer whiles serving as a Crew Officer at Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron (H&HS), Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort (MCAS Beaufort). First Lieutenant Livingston then served as an Individual Augment for the II MHG, II MEF (Fwd) Female Engagement Team Executive Officer and Operations Officer from October 2010-November 2011. During her deployment to Helmand Province, Afghanistan, she worked as the Task Force Leatherneck Female Engagement Team Liaison to the G3/G9 and as the II MEF (Fwd) Jordanian Female Engagement Team Officer in Charge. Upon return to South Carolina, First Lieutenant Livingston served as an Air Traffic Control Watch Officer for detachment A, MACS-2, MACG-28 from November 2011-June 2012.
In July 2012, Captain Livingston attended resident Expeditionary Warfare School (EWS), MCU, Quantico Virginia, and graduated in May 2013. Following graduation, Captain Livingston reported to Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron (H&HS), Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton (MCAS Pendleton), to serve as the Air Traffic Control Facility Officer in Charge until June 2015. In June of 2015, Captain Livingston transferred to the Marine Corps Reserve.
From October 2015-April 2016, Captain Livingston served as the Assistant Staff Secretary for Marine Forces Europe and Africa in Stuttgart, Germany. Following her return, in June 2016, she joined Marine Corps Security Cooperation Group (MCSCG), MARFORCOM, Virginia Beach, Virginia, as an Operational Planner and Security Cooperation Planner’s Course Instructor until March 2021.
Major Livingston then transferred to Marine Tactical Air Command Squadron 48 (MTACS-48), MACG-48; 4th MAW in Great Lakes, Illinois where she served as the Assistant Operations Officer and Executive Officer of the squadron. During this time, in May 2022, she graduated from non-resident Marine Corps Command and Staff College. In December 2023, Major Livingston then transferred to the Reserve Support Program 4 (RSP-4), MCIRSA, FHG, covering the Southeast region and served as the Operations Officer in the support of the unit’s mission of conducting Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) musters, contact and screening. She was promoted to Lieutenant
Colonel during this time.
Lieutenant Colonel Livingston returns to the air wing in June 2026, to serve as the Commanding Officer of Marine Air Support Squadron 6 (MASS-6), MACG-48, 4th MAW in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Lieutenant Colonel Livingston’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with two gold stars and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
Lieutenant Colonel Livingston holds a Juris Doctorate from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, North Carolina; a Master of Arts in International Relations from American University School of International Service, Washington D.C.; a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University, New York, New York; and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.
