Major Thomas Meyerson
Company Commander
India Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment

Major Thomas Meyerson is a native of Washington, D.C. He graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Political Science and was commissioned in 2011.

After completing the Basic Officer Course, Infantry Officer Course, Ground Intelligence Officer Course, and Scout Sniper Unit Leader Course, Lieutenant Meyerson reported to 1st Battalion, 1st Marines in May 2013. There he served as scout sniper platoon commander and led his platoon during the battalion’s Unit Deployment Program to Japan and Thailand.  From May 2015 to June 2016, he served as Battalion Intelligence Officer at 7th Engineer Support Battalion and graduated from Marine Air-Ground Task Force Intelligence Officers Course.

Captain Meyerson reported to Marine Forces Special Operations Command in July 2016 and deployed from September 2016 to April 2017 with Company M, 3rd Marine Raider Battalion to Northwest Africa in support of Operation Juniper Micron. There he led a joint operations-intelligence team embedded with a foreign partner force conducting counter-terrorist interdiction and hostage rescue. From August 2017 to May 2018 he deployed with the Special Operations Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve command element in support of the Defeat-ISIS mission in Iraq, Syria, and the greater Middle East. In July 2018 Captain Meyerson separated from active duty.

Captain Meyerson affiliated with Company K, 3rd Battalion, 23rd Marines in Jan 2023 and served as company executive officer, participating in annual training at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He transferred to 3rd Battalion, 25th Marines in April 2024 and served as Weapons Company executive officer during Integrated Training Exercise 4-24.

 In August 2024 Major Meyerson assumed command of Company I 3D Battalion, 25th Marines.

Major Meyerson holds a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. His personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (x2).
