First Sergeant Alejandro Aguilar
Inspector-Instructor Unit Senior Enlisted Leader
Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment

First Sergeant Aguilar is a native of Torrance, CA. He graduated from Youth Charter High School in June of 2003. On November 28, 2006, he reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, California for Recruit Training. Following his graduation, in February of 2007, he was transferred to Camp Pendleton, California for Marine Combat Training. Private Aguilar then reported to Camp Johnson, North Carolina for Basic Automotive Maintenance Technician, graduating August 7th, 2007.

August 9th 2007, Private First Class Aguilar reported to his first duty assignment with 1st Maintenance Battalion, serving as a Basic Automotive Maintenance Technician and 22 Area Guard Sentry. In February 2008 Lance Corporal Aguilar received TAD orders to Combat Logistics Battalion 5 and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.In June 2009, Corporal Aguilar reported for duty at 1st Law Enforcement Battalion, Camp Pendleton, California where he served as a Military Police Officer in billet MOS 5811. In January 2010, Corporal Aguilar reported to Combat Logistics Regiment 15, 1st Supply Battalion, Headquarters & Service Company serving as a Motor Transport Tool Room NCO and Motor Transport Maintenance Floor Chief.

February 2012, Sergeant Aguilar reported to 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, Okinawa Japan to serve as Motor Transport Maintenance Shop Chief and Color Sergeant for Marine Air Control Squadron 4, Marine Air Control Group 18, Okinawa Japan. In January of 2013, Sergeant Aguilar deployed as a Motor Transport Maintenance Shop Chief with the 31st Military Expeditionary Unit (13-1) for deployment to the Pacific in support of USFK 2014. Sergeant Aguilar reported to Basic Recruiting School, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, California in January of 2015.

In March 2015, Sergeant Aguilar reported to Recruiting Station San Francisco, California where he served as a Canvassing Recruiter for Recruiting Sub-Station Fairfield, Permanent Contact Station Vacaville. In April of 2016, Staff Sergeant was assigned as Station Commander for Recruiting Sub-Station Gilroy where he successfully completed his 38-month Special Duty Assignment.

In May 2018, Staff Sergeant Aguilar reported to Inspector-Instructor Staff, 4th Marine Division, 4th Force Reconnaissance Company, Alameda, California, where he severed as Motor Transport Chief, Toys for Tots Coordinator, Casualty Assistance Call Officer, and Funeral Honors. In October 2020, Staff Sergeant Aguilar reported to United States Army Airborne School in Fort Benning Georgia, graduating November 2020 with MOS 8023 Paratrooper.

In May 2021, Gunnery Sergeant Aguilar reported to 1st Battalion 5th Marines to serve as the Battalion's Motor Transport Chief. November of that year V15 deployed to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit where he served as the Battalion Landing Team 1/5 Motor Transport Chief and S-4 Chief. May of 2022 Gunnery Sergeant Aguilar was reassigned to Headquarters and Service Company to serve as acting Company First Sergeant.

In July 2023, Gunnery Sergeant Aguilar reported to 7th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group to serve as Motor Transport Maintenance Chief for one year before PCS to Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson in Anchorage Alaska.

In July 2024, Gunnery Sergeant Aguilar reported to Inspector-Instructor Duty, Force Headquarters Group, 4th Law Enforcement Battalion, Detachment Delta, Anchorage Alaska, where he severed as Motor Transport Chief, Assistant Toys for Tots Coordinator, Casualty Assistance Call Officer, Environmental Compliance Coordinator, GSA Representative and Funeral Honors for one year until his promotion to First Sergeant.

In July 2025, First Sergeant Aguilar reported to Rifle Company Lima, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marines where he assumed his current duties as the Inspector-Instructor First Sergeant.

First Sergeant Aguilar's personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with one gold star in lieu of second award. Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with three gold stars in lieu of fourth award and the Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.
