LCpl Centanni died while supporting combat operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to Headquarters and Service Company, 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, headquartered in Camp Pendleton, Calif. While deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, his unit was attached to Marine Expeditionary Brigade-Afghanistan. He died on March 24, 2010.
