Lieutenant Colonel Travis P. Geletzke
Commanding Officer
Marine Transport Squadron 1

Lieutenant Colonel Geletzke is a native of Temperance, Michigan. He earned a Bachelors of Science in Ocean Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 2008.

After The Basic School, 2nd Lt Geletzke attended Aviation Preflight Indoctrination at NAS Pensacola, Florida; Undergraduate Pilot Training with VT-27 at NAS Corpus Christi, Texas flying the T-34C; and Advanced Helicopter training with HT-8 at NAS Whiting Field, Florida flying the TH-57. 1st Lt Geletzke, earned his wings in 2011 and was sent to MCAS New River, North Carolina for training on the CH-53E.

1st Lt Geletzke joined HMH-462 at MCAS Miramar, California in 2012. During this tour he deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2013 and Okinawa, Japan for a Unit Deployment in 2015. His billets during his tenure were predominantly in Operations and Safety. Capt Geletzke returned to HMHT-302 at MCAS New River in 2016 to serve as an instructor pilot at the Fleet Replacement Squadron. His billets during this tour were predominantly within the squadron's Maintenance Department. In 2019, Maj Geletzke attended Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell AFB, Alabama where he earned a Masters of Military Operational Art and Science. Maj Geletzke joined HMH-463 at MCAS Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii in 2020 where he served as the squadron Maintenance Officer and Executive Officer. In 2022, Maj Geletzke, reported to Headquarters Marine Corps in Washington, DC to serve as Aide-de-Camp to the 36th Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps. He then served as the Operations and Readiness Officer within the Marine Corps Aviation Department's Cunningham Group. LtCol Geletzke reported to MCB Camp Blaz, Guam in 2025 to serve as the installation's Executive Officer.

In 2026, LtCol Geletzke reported to NAS JRB Fort Worth, Texas to assume command of Marine Transport Squadron One. His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, and Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.
