Lieutenant Colonel Brandon L. Davidson

Lieutenant Colonel Brandon Davidson assumed command as the Inspector-Instructor of Marine Corps Advisor Company Bravo and Site Commander for Site Support, Concord, California, on 10 July 2023.

Lieutenant Colonel Davidson enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on 10 May 1998. Following graduation from the Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego and the Multi-Channel Repairman’s Course in Twentynine Palms, California, he served as an AN/TRC-170 Repairman with 8th Communications Battalion in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. In 2002 he was stationed overseas with 7th Communications Battalion on Camp Hansen in Okinawa, Japan where he assumed the duties of Electronics Maintenance Platoon Training NCO and Platoon Sergeant. In 2003 he returned to the Marine Corps Communications and Electronics School (MCCES) in Twentynine Palms to advance his technical skill in the Electronics Theory Course where he graduated with honors at the top of his class. He went on to teach at MCCES until 2006, when he was stationed in Cherry Point, North Carolina with Marine Wing Communications Squadron 28 as an Intermediate Maintenance Activity Chief. After completing his bachelor’s degree, he applied for the Enlisted Commission Program and was competitively selected for a commission in the Marine Corps.

Lieutenant Colonel Davidson was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps in March 2007 after graduating from Officer Candidate School. Following graduation from the Basic Officer Course, he attended Naval Flight Officer Basic, Intermediate and Advanced flight training with MATSG-21, VT-10, and VT-86. He later earned the Air Traffic Control Officer designation in Pensacola, Florida before transferring back into the Fleet Marine Force (FMF). Lieutenant Colonel Davidson served as a Detachment Commander with Alpha Company, Marine Air Control Squadron 2 in Beaufort, South Carolina before completing his service in the active component of the Marine Corps. In 2012, after receiving a Reserve commission, he served with Marine Tactical Air Command Squadron 48 in Great Lakes, Illinois, as the Weapons and Tactics Instructor for the squadron. In 2014, he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Inherent Resolve as a Supply and Logistics Officer with the Marine Central Command element in Kuwait.

Lieutenant Colonel Davidson was accessed to the Active Reserve program in 2015 as an Air Command and Control officer. Active Reserve assignments include Operations Officer for Marine Air Control Squadron 24, Inspector and Instructor at Marine Tactical Air Command Squadron 48 and Reserve Capabilities Officer and Individual Mobilization Augmentee Operational Sponsor for the Deputy Commandant for Information.

Lieutenant Colonel Davidson earned an Associates of Arts in General Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from American Military University. He earned a Master of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College for Command and Staff studies. His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with 3 gold stars in lieu of fourth award, the Good Conduct Medal with a bronze star in Lieu of 2nd Award, the Selective Marine Corps Reserve Medal, and the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with the “M” device for mobilizing during a time of war.
