Lieutenant Colonel Charles A. Hines

Lieutenant Colonel Charlie Hines is a Logistics Officer presently serving as the Inspector-Instructor for Marine Corps Advisor Company Alpha and Site Commander for Site Support, Washington D.C. He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps in December 2001 after graduating from Louisiana State University.

Following The Basic School and Logistics Officers Course, LtCol Hines completed Active Component assignments with Combat Assault Battalion, 3rd Marine Division and Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 16, 3rd Marine Air Wing prior to end of active service in 2006. Active Component deployments include Operation IRAQI FREEDOM II-II.

As a Reserve Component Officer in the Selected Marine Corps Reserve. LtCol Hines held assignments with 4th Landing Support Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group and 4th Force Reconnaissance Company, Marine Forces Reserve. Reserve Component activations and deployments include Operation IRAQI FREEDOM 06-08, Operation ENDURING FREEDOM 10.1, and SPMAGTF-Africa.

LtCol Hines was accessed to the Active Reserve Program in 2012. Active Reserve assignments include Headquarters Company Inspector-Instructor, 24th Marines/Combat Logistics Regiment 4; Student, Army Command and General Staff College; Operations Officer, Prior Service Recruiting, Headquarters, Marine Corps Recruiting Command; and Operations Officer, 4th Marine Logistics Group.

LtCol Hines earned a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University and Master of Science from University of Kansas. Notable military education includes Tactical Logistics Operations Course, Intermediate MAGTF Logistics Operations Course, Expeditionary Warfare School (DEP), and resident Army Command and General Staff College.
