First Sergeant Jason P. Brice
Unit Senior Enlisted Leader
Company D, 4th Law Enforcement Battalion

First Sergeant Brice enlisted in the Marine Corps as an Infantry Rifleman in October 2001. Upon Completion of MCRD San Diego and the School of Infantry aboard Camp Pendleton he reported to his first duty station on June 2002 at 3rd Battalion 24th Marine Regiment, Kilo Company as a rifleman.

First Sergeant Brice reported to the 3/24 Scout Sniper platoon in July 2002. Here he was able to fine tune his infantry skills and to further his knowledge in field craft and marksmanship skills of becoming a scout sniper as a scout sniper observer.

In January 2004 First Sergeant Brice deployed to Iraq in support of “Operation Iraqi Freedom” as an Assistant Team Leader with the 3/24 Scout Sniper Platoon. While deployed to Iraq, First Sergeant Brice was part of the first battle of Falluja and earned the Navy Achievement Medal with a combat “V” for his actions. During his deployment he became a team leader and held that position for the remainder of his time in the platoon.

In January 2008 First Sergeant Brice reported to the IRR and during this time he focused on his family and civilian career. In June 2009, his former unit deployed once again. While the unit was deployed the Inspector & Instructor staff requested First Sergeant Brice to assist them in managing and training the new Marines. Upon return of the unit First Sergeant Brice decided to re-enlist.

In January 2011 First Sergeant Brice was assigned to 3/24 Weapons Company as the 81’s Mortar Platoon Sergeant. During his time with Weapons Company, he led his Marines to Ukraine for Operation Sea Breeze, meanwhile he trained advised and assisted his own Marines, along with the Ukrainians in MOUT and 81 MM Mortar employment.

In January 2013 First Sergeant Brice reported to MCIRSA Readiness Support Program in Rock Island IL ensuring the readiness and welfare of Marines in the IRR residing across several states in the upper mid-west. He was transferred to St. Louis in July 2015 while still with MCIRSA and became the Operations Chief for the Readiness Support Program, Region II.

In November 2016 First Sergeant Brice was assigned to 3/23 as H&S Company Gunny. During his time spent as Company Gunny he was able to implement the Marine Corps HITT program. He also ensured that H&S Co. Marines maintain their Infantry skills in addition to his regular duties.

In June 2017 First Sergeant Brice reported MARFOREUR/AF in Stuttgart Germany as the Africa G-35 Senior Enlisted Advisor for Crisis Response and Theatre Security Cooperation. He worked extensively with AFRICOM and while he was there, he assisted in planning missions across North Africa including the recovery of four Special Forces Operators in Niger.

In February 2018 First Sergeant Brice was transferred to Marine Forces Pacific G-3 as an Operations Chief. While station at MARFORPAC, Camp Smith, Hawaii. His duties consisted of gathering pertinent information from higher, adjacent, and supporting commands and briefing the Commanding General. He worked extensively with PACOM and III MEF. He also was part of the development of Exercise Pacific Sentry and held the billet of Battle SNCO to Brigadier General Sofje during JTF-51.

In July 2020 First Sergeant Brice was frocked and transferred to Delta Battery, 2nd   Battalion 14th Marines where he served as the Battery First Sergeant. While serving as the Senior Enlisted Leader he deployed to Okinawa with 152 Marines on UDP 22.1.

In May 2023 he was transferred to Delta Co. (Det D located in Alaska and Det – located in Montana) 4th Law Enforcement Battalion, FHG where he is presently serving as the Senior Enlisted Leader.

First Sergeant Brice is a Firefighter/Paramedic in St. Louis County, MO. He volunteers his time utilizing his specialized skills on the St. Louis County Urban search and rescue team and the Missouri region 3 Incident Support Team.
