First Sergeant (1stSgt) Hawkins is a Southern California native and joined the Marine Corps on 8 September 2009. She attended recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC, and upon graduation, she reported to Marine Combat Training at Camp Geiger, NC. After completion, 1stSgt Hawkins reported to the Center for Naval Technical Training (CNATT) on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, CA, earning the military occupational specialty of 6114 UH/AH-1 Helicopter Mechanic.
In August of 2010, 1stSgt Hawkins received orders to Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 269 and served in the Flightline shop as a Plane Captain, Collateral Duty Inspector, and Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative. In December of 2011, she deployed with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) aboard the USS Essex. She deployed again in 2014 on the 22nd MEU aboard the USS Batan.
In April of 2015, 1stSgt Hawkins checked into Drill Instructor School at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC. Upon completion of Drill Instructor School, she was assigned to 4th Battalion, Co P and Co N as a Drill Instructor and Senior Drill Instructor. She also served as the Senior Drill Instructor for the Female Readiness Platoon and attended the first Force Fitness Instructor's Course when attached to Support Battalion.
In June of 2018, 1stSgt Hawkins successfully completed her tour as a Marine Corps Drill Instructor and executed a Direct Affiliate Program (DAP) to the Selected Marine Corps Reserves. She received orders to Marine Air Group 49, Marine Aviation Logistics 49 where she served as the Squadron Gunnery Sergeant. During this time 1stSgt Hawkins also earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science from William Paterson University.
In April of 2022, 1stSgt Hawkins received orders to HMLA 775 where she served as the Flightline Shop SNCOIC and Division Chief. She began her Master of Science Degree in Acupuncture at the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine.
In May of 2025, 1stSgt Hawkins received orders to Combat Logistic Battalion 451, Motor Transport Company where she currently serves as the Motor Transport Company Company First Sergeant.
Her personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with 2 gold stars in lieu of 3rd award, the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal with 1 bronze star in lieu of 2nd award, the Marine Corps Selected Reserve Medal with 1 bronze star in lieu of 2nd award, and the Marine Corps Drill Instructor Ribbon.
