Biography

 

Captain Hunter N. Doliber
Commanding Officer
Co. A, 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion

Captain Doliber attended Officer Candidate School (OCS) in Quantico, Virginia in July 2014. Captain Doliber commissioned on May 22, 2015 and graduated from San Diego State University the following day. Captain Doliber checked into The Basic School in October of 2015 and reported to Infantry Officers Course located on Quantico, Virginia in July of 2016 

After graduating from IOC in September 2016, Captain Doliber checked in to Company E, Second Battalion, First Marines. He was assigned to the role of Weapons Platoon Commander, where he led the mortar, assault, and machine gun sections for the company. Captain Doliber would also serve as the company Fire Support Team leader (FiST), controlling all indirect fire assets for the company in support of the company maneuver elements. 

Captain Doliber deployed with the battalion in support of the Unit Deployment Program (UDP) to Okinawa, Japan. Company E would conduct bilateral training aboard Okinawa and Camp Fuji with the Japanese Ground Self Defense Force, bolstering relations with a strategic partner in the Pacific. 

In March 2018, Captain Doliber became the Mortar Platoon Commander of Company W, Second Battalion, First Marines. Captain Doliber would deploy with Company W in support of SPMAGTF-Peru in January of 2019. Captain Doliber would deploy again with the battalion as part of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. Captain Doliber would serve as the Mortar Platoon Commander and the Tactical Recovery of Aircraft and Personnel Force Commander while deployed. 

In November 2019, Captain Doliber reported to Marine Combat Training Battalion, School of Infantry-West. He served as the Company Commander for Company F, and the Operations Officer. In December of 2021, Captain Doliber left Active Duty and entered the Inactive Ready Reserve. 

In May 2023, Captain Doliber joined the Select Marine Corps Reserve with Company E, Second Battalion, Twenty-Third Marines. He served as the Executive Officer of the company.
