Major Ian T. Constable
Company Commander
Company F, 2D Battalion 25th Marine Regiment

Major Constable is a native of Wilmington, Delaware and attended the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware where he majored in International Relations. During this time, he served as an enlisted Marine in 4th Combat Engineer Battalion in Towson, Maryland from 2009 until commissioning. He commissioned as an officer in May 2013 upon and attended the Basic School and Infantry Officer Course in 2014.

Upon completion of initial training, he was assigned to 1st Battalion, 7th Marines in Twentynine Palms, California in January 2015 where he immediately took on the role of rifle platoon commander in Alpha Company. While serving in this billet, he deployed to the Baghdad Embassy Complex in Baghdad, Iraq in October 2015 as part of the Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force – Central Command in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.

After returning from this deployment in April 2016, Major Constable was assigned to Baker Company as the Executive Officer. While serving in this role, he deployed to Kuwait in March 2017 where Baker Company fulfilled the role of the Crisis Response Company for the Central Command area of operations in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Baker Company returned from deployment in October 2017 and Major Constable remained with the unit until receiving orders to Wounded Warrior Battalion – West in Camp Pendleton, California in March 2018.

Upon arriving at Wounded Warrior Battalion – West, Major Constable served within the operations shop until taking the role of Company Commander for Delta Company in the summer of 2018. While serving in this role he assisted wounded, ill, and injured Marines in gaining medical support and transition assistance and completed the Expeditionary Warfare School – Blended Seminar Program.

Major Constable relinquished command of Delta Company in December 2019, and took the role of S-4 officer and S-3A for the battalion before transitioning out of active duty and into the Select Marine Corps Reserve (SMCR) in March 2021.

After Transitioning to the Marine Corps Reserve, Major Constable was assigned to Golf Company, 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey, where he served as a Rifle Platoon Commander and Company Executive Officer.

In October 2022, Major Constable transferred to Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines in Plainville, Connecticut and took command of Fox Company in December 2022.

Major Constable’s personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
