Lieutenant Colonel Zachary A. White

Zachary White received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science in August 2005 from the University of North Texas in Denton, TX. Upon graduating, 2ndLt White attended the Basic School and graduated in March 2006. 2ndLt White then reported to the Logistics Officer Course, also aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. In July 2006, 2ndLt White reported to Combat Logistics Battalion 1 at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California where he assumed the duties as Landing Support Platoon Commander, Transportation Support Company. In August 2006 2ndLt White deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 05-07.2. In this role he led, trained and supervised Landing Support Platoon in the successful operations of three separate arrival and departure airfield control groups (A/DACG) at Al Taqaddum, Iraq, Ali Al Salem, Kuwait and Kuwait City International Airport.

In March of 2007 2ndLt White redeployed and reported for duty as S-4 Officer, Combat Logistics Battalion 5. Subsequent to that assignment 2ndLt White reported for duty as Transportation Support Detachment Commander, Combat Logistics Battalion 15, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. In May of 2008 1stLt White deployed with the 15th MEU, aboard USS Pearl Harbor for West-Pac 8.1. During this time, he provided support to BLT 2/5, HMM-165 (REIN) and the 15th MEU during Operations Eager Mace and Infinite Moonlight.

In August of 2009 1stLt White separated from active duty and was hired as a Police Officer in Carrollton, TX.

In October 2010 Capt White reported for duty with 2nd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment. He was assigned as a HIMARS Launcher Platoon Commander with Delta Battery in El Paso, TX. He subsequently served as the battery executive officer until September 2012.

In September 2012 Capt White reported for duty with Marine Aircraft Group 41, Fort Worth, TX. Capt White assumed the duties of Aviation Ground Support (AGS) Operations and Plans Officer. Concurrently, Capt White completed his Master of Liberal Arts degree from Texas Christian University, graduating in December 2012.

From April 2014 to October 2014 Capt White was mobilized to active duty. He reported for duty as the G-4 Current Operation Officer, Marine Forces Europe and Africa, Stuttgart, Germany.

During this period Capt White oversaw the G-4 Current Operations Section, supported the logistical planning and coordination for the military assisted departure at US Embassy Tripoli and served on the USAFRICOM Ebola Operational Planning Team. During this period Capt White also completed the Joint Humanitarian Operations Course. In October 2014, he de-mobilized and reported back to MAG-41.

Between October 2014, and June 2016, Capt White served as the AGS Operations Officer and served periods of TAD at MWSS-471. In June 2016, Major White was assigned as the S-4 OIC at MAG-41.

In November 2017, Maj White reported to CLB-25, Red Bank, NJ, for service as Battalion Executive Officer. Concurrently, Maj White completed Marine Corps Command and Staff College. In October 2020, Maj White detached from CLB-25 and reported to
Headquarters, 4th Marine Logistics Group, New Orleans, LA. During this period, Lieutenant Colonel White served as an operational planner in the current operations and future operations sections of the Service Component Operational Logistics Augmentation Cell. In June of 2022, LtCol White was awarded a Doctorate in Law and Policy from Northeastern University.

As a civilian LtCol White serves as Police Commander for the Carrollton, TX Police Department. He holds a Master Peace Officer Certificate from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.

His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with gold star in lieu of second award, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with gold star in lieu of second award, the Selected Marine Corps Reserve Medal with bronze star in lieu of fifth award, the Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with Bronze Hourglass and M device and the National Defense Service Medal.
