Captain Bryce Laxton
Commanding Officer
COMPANY B, 4TH LIGHT ARMORED RECONNAISSANCE BATTALION

Captain Bryce Laxton, originally from South Florida, grew up in Northern Virginia where he graduated from high school in 2010. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Information Technology from Bluefield University in 2014, and subsequently worked as an IT Technician and Legal Assistant at a law firm in Bluefield, West Virginia until reporting to Officer Candidate School in Quantico, VA on 1 June 2015.

After commissioning on 7 August 2015, Second Lieutenant Laxton attended The Basic School from August 2015 through March 2016 and graduated from Infantry Officer Course in June 2016.  After completing Light Armored Reconnaissance Leaders Course in September 2016, he reported to Company D, 4th LAR.

While at Company D, First Lieutenant Laxton served as a Platoon Commander in support of NATO exercise Saber Strike 2018. After being assigned as Executive Officer for Company D, Captain Laxton served as the company Fire Support Team leader during Integrated Training Exercise 4-21 and completed the joint Fire Support Coordinator Course in September 2021.

Captain Laxton reported to Company B, 4th LAR in May 2022, where he presently serves as the Company Commander.
