Captain Brennan D. Welcher
Inspector-Instructor
ANTI-TANK TRAINING COMPANY

Captain Welcher is a native of Mount Pleasant, Iowa where he graduated from Mount Pleasant Community High School in May 2014. Following graduation he enlisted into the Marine Corps Reserve as an 0331. Captain Welcher graduated Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego in April 2015. Upon graduation he received orders to School of Infantry West, Camp Pendleton, California. From there he received orders to Company E, 2nd Battalion, 24th Marines where he served as gunner, team leader, squad leader, and section leader. While at 2nd Battalion, 24th Marines he was promoted to Corporal.

In August of 2015 Captain Welcher enrolled in Des Moines Area Community College in Des Moines, Iowa. He received an Associate of Arts and transferred to the University of Iowa in December 2017. He graduated from the University of Iowa in December 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in History.

In January 2021 Captain Welcher received orders to Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia where he graduated and commissioned in March 2021. That same month he reported to The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia where he graduated in October of 2021. From there, he went on to the Infantry Officer Course, graduating in March 2022. Upon completing this training, Captain Welcher received orders to 3d Battalion, 6th Marines where he held the billet of 3d Rifle Platoon Commander for Company I through a Unit Deployment Program. In December 2023 he was assigned as the Executive Officer for Company I. In January 2025 he was moved to the S-3 where he acted as an Assistant Operations Officer. Captain Welcher received orders to Site Support Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in July 2025 where he currently holds the billet of Inspector and Instructor for the Anti-Tank Training Company.
