Captain Nicholas F. Baker
Inspector-Instructor
Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment

Captain Baker graduated from the United States Naval Academy and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in May 2019. He reported to The Basic School in June 2019 with Echo Company. Upon graduation from The Basic School, Second Lieutenant Baker reported to the Infantry Officer Course 2-20.

Immediately following completion of the Infantry Officer Course, Second Lieutenant Baker reported to 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment at MCAGCC as a Rifle Platoon Commander with Baker Company. He promoted to the rank of First Lieutenant in May 2021. The battalion deployed in May 2021 in support of Marine Rotational Force - Darwin. During the deployment, First Lieutenant Baker executed bi-lateral training with the Australian Defense Force during Exercise KOOLENDONG. He returned to MCAGCC in October 2021.

In January 2022, First Lieutenant Baker assumed the billet of Weapons Platoon Commander of Baker Company. As the Weapons Platoon Commander, First Lieutenant Baker was a lead planner for the joint exercise Exercise GARNET RATTLER at Mountain Home Air Force Base, as well as a Ground Force Commander and Infantry Tactics Adviser to the Air Force TACP Instructor Course at Nellis Air Force Base.

In June 2022, First Lieutenant Baker assumed the billet of the Company Executive Officer for Baker Company. In July 2022, he graduated from the Fire Support Coordination Course. The battalion deployed in November 2022 in support of UDP-H at Okinawa, Japan. During the deployment, First Lieutenant Baker led a contingent of the GCE executing joint, multi-lateral training during Exercise COBRA GOLD in The Kingdom of Thailand. He re-deployed to MCAGCC in May 2023.

In August 2023, First Lieutenant Baker reported to Site Support Terre Haute as the Inspector - Instructor for Company B, 1st Battalion, 24th Marines. He promoted to his current rank, Captain, in October 2023.

Captain Baker has a Bachelor's of Science in History and his personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
