Major Austin W. Singhoffer

Major Singhoffer attended Officer Candidates School through the Platoon Leaders Class program in 2010. Upon graduation from Michigan State University in 2012, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant. In May 2013, Second Lieutenant Singhoffer checked into The Basic School, Quantico, VA. After graduating from TBS he attended the Infantry Officer Course, graduating in April of 2014.

On 16 April 2014, Second Lieutenant Singhoffer reported to Kilo Company, 3d Battalion, 3d Marines and assumed command of Second Platoon. From December 2014 to May 2015, First Lieutenant Singhoffer deployed to Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan, as the Forward Deployed Force supporting the Unit Deployment Program. During the Deployment, First Lieutenant Singhoffer participated in bilateral training exercises in Korea, The Philippines, and Japan.

Upon returning from the deployment, First Lieutenant Singhoffer attended Infantry Mortar Leaders Course in Fort Benning, GA. Following graduation on 3 July 2015, First Lieutenant Singhoffer returned to Marine Corps Base Kaneohe Bay and assumed his duties as the 81mm Mortar Platoon Commander.

From June 2016 to December 2016, First Lieutenant Singhoffer deployed to Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, as the Forward Deployed Force in support of the Unit Deployment Program. First Lieutenant Singhoffer participated in bilateral and unilateral training in Japan, Guam, and Tinian during the deployment.

From February 2017 to April 2017, Captain Singhoffer commanded Company I, 3d Battalion, 3d Marines
In April 2017, Captain Singhoffer received orders to The Basic School, Quantico, VA. While at The Basic School, Captain Singhoffer was assigned to the Warfighting Instructor Group as a Warfighting Instructor as well as a Staff Platoon Commander with Bravo Co., BOC 2-18 and Fox Co., BOC 6-18. Following his tours as a Staff Platoon Commander, he took command of Weapons Platoon, Warfighting Instructor Company.

From February to September of 2020, Captain Singhoffer attended Maneuver Captain's Career Course, Maneuver Center of Excellence, Fort Benning, Georgia, where he graduated with honors.
