Biography

 

First Lieutenant Anthony Kraus

Anthony Kraus is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. He was selected for a four-year Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) Scholarship to the University of St. Thomas as a part of the University of Minnesota NROTC program. In July of 2020, he attended the 6-week Senior Course at Officer Candidates School. He attended the University of St. Thomas for four years and graduated in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. He commissioned that same month as a Second Lieutenant.

In April of 2022, Second Lieutenant Kraus completed the Basic School at Camp Barrett, Virginia. He then attended Supply Chain Management Officer Course 3-22 at Camp Johnson, North Carolina and graduated in September 2022. He subsequently received orders to 3d Supply Battalion, 3d Marine Logistics Group in Okinawa, Japan. At 3d Supply Battalion he served as the Supply Company Operations Officer from October 2022 to December 2022. He then served as the Rations Platoon Commander from December 2022 to January 2024. During his time with Rations Platoon he was promoted to First Lieutenant in May 2024.

In January of 2024, First Lieutenant Kraus was moved to the S3 section to hold the Future Operations Officer Billet. Later that month he was deployed to South Korea with Combat Logistic Regiment 37. He was assigned as the Marine Air Ground Task Force Responsible Officer to assist with the Material Prepositioning Force offload of the United States Naval Ship San Diego and the Intermediate Supply Liaison Officer for Korean Marine Exchange Program 24.1. In March of 2024, he returned to 3d Supply Battalion as the Future Operations Officer until May 2024 where he became the Battalion Supply Officer for 3d Maintenance Battalion.
