Major Davies enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserves on August 3rd, 2009. He then attended MCRD San Diego on May 10th, 2010.
After completing recruit training, Private First Class Davies attended School of Infantry west where he became a machine gunner.
After completion, Private First Class Davies reported to Company K, 3D Battalion 24th Marines. While with Company K, he
participated in Operation Cold Response 2012 where he participated with NATO nations in a bilateral exercise in the Arctic Circle of
Norway. On January 1, 2011, he was then promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal.
Lance Corporal Davies was selected into Platoon Leaders Course and attended Officer Candidate School in the summer of 2012. On
January 1, 2013 Lance Corporal Davies was promoted to the rank of Corporal, he then continued his training in OCS in the summer of
2013. He was commissioned on December 14th, 2013 after graduating from Indiana State University and attended The Basic School
(TBS) from October 2014 to May 2015, with Alpha Company. Following TBS, 2nd Lieutenant Davies attended Infantry Officers
Course 4-15.
Upon graduation, Second Lieutenant Davies was assigned to Company K, 3D Battalion 1st Marines in Camp Pendleton, California. He
served as a Rifle Platoon Commander from October 2015 until March 2017. During this time, he competed a pre-deployment training
program which included Mountain Training Exercise (MTX) and Marine Corps Combat Readiness Exercise (MCCRE) and deployed
on Forward Deployed Battalion West (FDB-W) 17.1 where he conducted training operations in Okinawa, South Korea, and Camp Fuji,
Japan including a bilateral exercise with the ROK Marines in South Korea.
1st Lieutenant Davies reported to Weapons Company, 2D Battalion 1st Marines in April of 2017. He served as 81mm Mortar Platoon
Commander from April 2017 until July 2018. During this time, he completed several battalion level Field exercises and conducted a
MCCRE and Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) 5-17. 1st Lieutenant Davies deployed on Forward Deployed Battalion West (FDB-W)
18.1 where he conducted training operations in Okinawa, and at Camp Fuji, Japan including a bilateral exercise with the Japanese
Ground Self-Defense Force in northern Japan. On June 1, 2018 he was then promoted to the rank of Captain.
In July of 2018, Captain Davies checked into 1st Recruit Training Battalion where he attended Series Commanders course 7-18. He
was assigned to Co B and C where he served as an Assistant Series Commander and a Series commander. Captain Davies was then
assigned as the 1stRTBn Operations Officer and HQ Company Commander. He was given Command of Co C where he served from January 2020 through May 2021.
In April of 2021, Captain Davies attended Maneuver Captains Career Course (MCCC) in Fort Benning, GA where he graduated 11th of
154 students and placed on the Commandant's List.
In November of 2021, Captain Davies reported to 1stBn, 8th Marines, 6th Marine Regiment where he served as the Weapons Company Commanding Officer from April 2021 to June 2023.
In June of 2023 Captain Davies attended Command and General Staff Collage in Fort Leavenworth where he finished in the top 30% of the class. In September of 2024 he was promoted to rank of Major.
In July of 2024 Major Davies checked into the Instructor Inspector of F Co, 2D Battalion, 23D Marines in Salt Lake City.
Major Davies' personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
