Hospital Corpsman Senior Chief James C. Hamilton

Senior Chief Hamilton is a native of Orange, CA. He enlisted in the Navy Reserve in August 2004 and completed Recruit Training in Great Lakes, Illinois followed by completion of Hospital Corpsman ‘A’ School and Field Medical Service School at Camp Lejeune NC. He was assigned to H&S company 4th Combat Engineer Battalion in 2006 and deployed as a platoon corpsman with A Company in 2007-2008 as part of Task Force 3/23 in Haditha Iraq. Upon returning, he continued to serve with 4th CEB, becoming the Battalion Leading Petty Officer in 2011. During this time, he participated in the Talisman Sabre Exercise in Australia in 2009 and African Lion Exercise in Morrocco in 2010.

In April 2014, Petty Officer Hamilton was assigned as a corpsman to SEAL Team EIGHTEEN, and became the LPO for Combat Service Support Company Charlie as it transitioned to a Unmanned Aircraft Systems unit. During this transition, he became qualified as a UAS operator/maintainer and deployed to the Horn of Africa in 2018 supporting Special Operations. During this deployment, he was selected as a Chief Petty Officer. He deployed a second time to the Horn of Africa in 2022-2023 as the Reserve Detachment Leading Chief Petty Officer.

In July 2024, Senior Chief Hamilton was selected as the Company Senior Enlisted Leader for Surgical Company Bravo, 4th Medical Battalion.

Senior Chief Hamilton is qualified as an Enlisted Fleet Marine Force Warfare Specialist, Expeditionary Warfare Specialist, and Information Warfare Specialist. His awards include two Navy Commendation Medals.
