Captain Joshua T. Lopez
Inspector - Instructor
Kilo Battery, 2nd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment

Captain Lopez is a native of Huntsville, Alabama. He graduated from Auburn University in May 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and received his commission through Platoon Leaders Course Combined. After The Basic School, he completed the Marine Artillery Officer Basic Course (MAOBC) and was assigned to 2d Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment as an 0802 in August 2019.

While at 2d Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment, Capt Lopez served as a Company Fire Support Officer for 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment in which he supported Unit Deployment Program (UDP) 20.1. Once he returned from UDP he served as Fire Direction Officer and Platoon Commander for Battery F, 2d Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment and Assistant Logistics Officer, 2d Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment. In July 2022, Capt Lopez reported to the Marine Artillery Detachment to serve as a gunnery instructor for the MAOBC in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. While at Fort Sill, he served as the gunnery instructor for MAOBC 4-23 and 1-24 and as the Battery Commander for Battery M. In May 2025, Capt Lopez reported to 2nd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment. While assigned, he serves as Inspector-Instructor for Battery K.

Capt Lopez's personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
