Biography

 

Captain Daniel P. McSheffrey
INSPECTOR - INSTRUCTOR
Headquarters Company, 4th CEB

Captain McSheffrey is a native of Boston, Massachusetts and commissioned in the United States Marine Corps via the Platoon Leaders Course (PLC). In the summer of 2010, Captain McSheffrey reported to Officer Candidate School (OCS), MCB Quantico, VA and completed the Juniors component. In the summer of 2012, Captain McSheffrey returned to OCS and completed the Senior component. Captain McSheffrey was then commissioned as a Second Lieutenant upon graduation from Massachusetts Maritime Academy in 2013.
 
Following OCS and college graduation, Captain McSheffrey reported to The Basic School (TBS) and completed training in September of 2014. At the conclusion of TBS, Captain McSheffrey received orders to Ground Supply Officer's Course in Camp Johnson, North Carolina and completed training in early 2015 earning the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 3002, Ground Supply Officer. 
 
Captain McSheffrey served aboard Camp Pendleton, California with 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines from 2014 to 2018 as the Battalion Supply Officer. During this time, Captain McSheffrey was deployed twice, the first with the Unit Deployment Program - West and the second with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit.
 
In 2018, Captain McSheffrey recieved orders and served with the Chemical Biological Incident Response Force (CBIRF) in Indian Head, Maryland as the Battalion Supply Officer, holding the billet until 2021.
 
In 2021, Captain McSheffrey received orders to Marine Air Control Squadron - 1 (MACS-1) where he served as the Squadron Supply Officer and the Headquarters and Service Company Commander until September of 2023.
 
Captain McSheffrey is currently serving as the H&S Inspector-Instrutor, Engineer Support Company Inspector-Instructor, Battalion Logistics Officer, and Battalion Supply Officer at 4th Combat Engineer Battalion in Baltimore, Maryland.
 
Captain McSheffrey is the recipient of the Navy and marine Corps Commendation medal and a graduate of Massachusetts Maritime Academy with a degree in Emergency Management.
