Major Alexander is a native of Fort Myers, Florida. He attended the United States United States Naval Academy from 2009 to 2013. Upon graduation, he received a degree in political science and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps. Following commissioning, he attended The Basic School and was assigned to the Field Artillery Military Occupation Specialty.
In 2014, he attended the Field Artillery Basic Officer Course. In August 2014 he reported to 1st Battalion, 10th Marines at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. During this tour, Second Lieutenant Alexander served as a Fire Direction Officer and Headquarters Platoon Commander. In August 2015, he deployed to Okinawa, Japan in support of Unit Deployment Program (UDP) 15.1. Upon return from this deployment, he became the Forward Observer for Company G, 2nd Battalion, 8th Marines. In August 2016, he deployed to Constanta, Romania in support of Black Sea Rotational Force 16.1. Upon return from this deployment, he became the Battalion Fire Direction Officer.
In August 2017, First Lieutenant Alexander reported to G-3, Headquarters, 3d Marine Logistics Group (MLG) Okinawa, Japan. Upon assignment to 3d MLG, he served as the Tactical Readiness and Training Officer. From January to July 2020, he served as Marine Forces Pacific Liaison to the U.S. Embassy, Manila Philippines. During this tour Captain Alexander completed Expeditionary Warfare School Blended Seminar and Navy Command and Staff College via distance education.
In August 2020, Captain Alexander reported to Headquarters Battery, 5th Battalion, 11th Marines to serve as the Battalion Logistics Officer. In June 2021, he assumed command of Battery T, 5th Battalion, 11th Marines. In November 2021, he deployed with Battery T to Okinawa, Japan in support of UDP 22.1. From June 2022 through July 2023, he commanded Headquarters Battery.
In July 2023, Major Alexander reported to 1st Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company to serve as the Operations Brigade Platoon Commander. In August 2024, he assumed the duties as the Future Operations Officer. During this tour, Major Alexander completed a Masters of International Affairs at the University of California- San Diego through the United States Navy Low Residency Graduate Education Program.
In July 2025, Major Alexander reported to 2nd Battalion, 14th Marines at Grand Prairie, Texas to serve as the Assistant Battalion Inspector-Instructor.
Major Alexander's personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (gold star in lieu of second award) and Meritorious Service Medal. Major Alexander is a member of the Honorable Order of Saint Barbara.
