Sergeant Major Bibb enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in March 1992 and reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island in December 1992. Upon completion of recruit training in March 1993, Private First Class (PFC) Bibb reported to Marine Combat Training and subsequently the School of Infantry (SOI). Upon completion of SOI in June 1993, PFC Bibb was assigned to Marine Barracks Annapolis where he received on-the-job Security Forces training for the United States Naval Academy.
While stationed at Marine Barracks Annapolis, PFC Bibb was promoted to Lance Corporal where he served as Corporal of the Guard and Quick Reaction Force Team Leader. Also while stationed at Marine Barracks Annapolis, Lance Corporal Bibb was promoted to Corporal in May 1995 and served as Sergeant of the Guard as well as Section Leader. In addition, Corporal Bibb attended the Army Airborne School in July 1995.
Upon completion of his tour with Marine Barracks Annapolis, Corporal Bibb reported to 1st Battalion, 4th Marines in March 1996. While stationed with 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, Corporal Bibb deployed in support of the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable). Upon returning from deployment, Corporal Bibb was honorably discharged from active duty in December 1996.
In August 2007, Corporal Bibb enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserves and reported to Military Police Company A, 4th Law Enforcement Battalion. After being promoted to Sergeant in January 2009, Sergeant Bibb served as a Team Leader during Natural Fires 10, an OCONUS training evolution in Uganda consisting of five African nations. In May 2011, Sergeant Bibb deployed with Combat Logistics Battalion 6 to Helmand Province, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. While mobilized with Combat Logistics Battalion 6, Sergeant Bibb was assigned as the Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of the Battalion Commander and Sergeant Major's Personal Security Detachment.
Upon demobilizing from Combat Logistics Battalion 6 and returning to Military Police Company A, Sergeant Bibb was promoted to Staff Sergeant in November 2012 and held the billet of Platoon Commander. In January 2016, Staff Sergeant Bibb was promoted to Gunnery Sergeant. As a Gunnery Sergeant, he served as the Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge during Trade Winds 16, an OCONUS training evolution in Jamaica consisting of 12 Caribbean nations, and as the Company Gunnery Sergeant for Military Police Company A.
In April 2019, Gunnery Sergeant Bibb was selected for the rank of First Sergeant and assigned as the Company First Sergeant with Company E, 4th Tank Battalion until the battalion's deactivation in November 2020. First Sergeant Bibb was then reassigned as the Company First Sergeant for Company B, Intelligence Support Battalion until August 2023.
Upon being selected for the rank of Sergeant Major, Sergeant Major Bibb was assigned to 4th Reconnaissance Battalion as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader.
Sergeant Major Bibb's personal awards include the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal. In addition, he has been awarded four Letters of Appreciation, two Certificates of Appreciation and three Certificates of Commendation.
