CWO3 De La Rosa is a native of Santurce and Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. He joined the Marine Corps on 24 Jun 1999 on the delay program and reported to MCRD Paris Island, SC on 28 Dec 1999. Upon graduation, he was assigned to Golf Company on Camp Geiger, Camp Lejeune for Marine Combat Training at the Infantry Training School.
In 15 May 2000, CWO3 De La Rosa reported to Quarter Master School, Fort Lee, VA for Food Service Specialist Course. After ending the Course he was assigned to 1st BN 2nd Marine 2nd Marine Division Camp Lejeune, NC. In 17 September 2000, CWO3 De La Rosa attended Mountain Warfare Training Center at Bridgeport, CA. Upon returning, he was assigned to the Company Field Mess. From March 2001 to October 2001 he deployment to Okinawa and Mount Fuji, Japan executing jungle warfare training.
In January 2003 to May 2003, CWO3 De La Rosa was attached for duty as a motor transport mechanic for Headquarters and Service Company, 1st Battalion 2nd Marines 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade supporting Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraq Freedom. In May 2003, he participated on the mobile load wash down point, Task Force Tarawa supporting U.S. Department Agriculture and U.S. Customs inspection. In October 2003, he executed terminal leave from active duty and joined the inactive ready reserve.
In April 2007 CWO3 De La Rosa joined the Selected Marine Corps Reserve with 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion, Tampa FL. He participating in the Annual Training Talisman Sabre in Rockhampton, Shoalwater Bay and Yepoon in Queensland, Australia. In November 2007, he deployed to Iraq with Alpha Company 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion in support of Operation Iraq Freedom as platoon guide for the 1st Platoon. He was promoted in Iraq to the rank of SSGT in May 2008. Upon return and during his remaining time with Head Quarters Company, 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion he filled multiple billets serving as the Company Logistic Chief, Company Gunnery Sargent, Head Quarters Platoon Commander and executed numerous training evolutions and deployments. Is not too after, that He was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sargent in March 2012 and assumed duties as the acting First Sergeant for Head Quarters Company.
In 2016, CWO3 De La Rosa was selected to attend Warrant Officer Academy in Quantico VA and graduated in May 2017. After graduation, he assume duties as the Executive Officer of Food Service Company, Combat Logistic Regiment-45, Smyrna GA. On May 2023 CWO3 DeLaRosa assumed his current position as Commanding Officer for Food Service Company.
CWO3 De La Rosa's personal awards include, the Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, multiple Certificates of Commendation and Meritorious Masts and various other Service and Campaign medals.
