First Lieutenant Julia E. Chenoweth
Officer in Charge
Reserve Support Activity - Twentynine Palms

First Lieutenant Julia E. Chenoweth is a native of Ann Arbor, Michigan. She was adopted in 1998 by her mothers. She enlisted out of Recruiting Substation, Ann Arbor in 2016. Following graduation from Fourth Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island and Marine Combat Training, School of Infantry East, Private First Class Chenoweth reported to Assault Amphibian School Battalion. Upon completion of Assault Amphibian Vehicle Repairer Basic Course, she reported to the same unit as a part of the permanent personnel.

In 2018, Corporal Chenoweth was selected to attend the United States Naval Academy. She graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, and commissioned in the United States Marine Corps. Upon completion of The Basic School, Second Lieutenant Chenoweth reported to 3d Battalion, 4th Marines in January of 2023, serving on Temporary Assigned Duty with 7th Marine Regiment for on-the-job training. Upon completion of Logistics Officers Course, she returned to 3d Battalion, 4th Marines to serve as the Motor Transport Platoon Commander.

First Lieutenant Chenoweth deployed to Okinawa, Japan in support of the Unit Deployment Program - West. First Lieutenant Chenoweth assumed the duties and responsibilities as Assistant Logistics Officer of 3d Battalion, 4th Marines in May of 2025. She deployed to the San Diego sector in support of Joint Task Force - Southwest Border. In February 2026, she executed orders to the Deployment Processing Command - West, Twentynine Palms Branch, where she is currently serving as branch Officer in Charge.

First Lieutenant Chenoweth's personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
