Major Adam J. Jarratt
Officer In Charge
Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 41

After graduating from recruit training at MCRD Parris Island, S. C. from June to August 2003, Private Jarratt attended School of Infantry at Infantry Training Battalion in Camp Lejeune, N. C. 

In November 2003, PFC Jarratt reported into Bravo 1/23 in Bossier City, LA. Here, he drilled as an SMCR Rifleman, while attending college at Louisiana Tech University, until the unit was activated in June 2004. At this time, he deployed to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom.  

Bravo 1/23 returned from this deployment in April 2005. In the summer of 2005, he attended the PLC Junior session of Officer Candidate School in Quantico, VA.  

Upon successful completion of PLC Junior, he returned to school at Louisiana Tech University and continued with his drill at Bravo 1/23. Lance Corporal Jarratt continued his career advancement becoming a fireteam leader and eventually being promoted to Corporal. 

In the summer of 2007, Corporal Jarratt completed PLC Senior session and then volunteered to deploy with Kilo 3/23. From July 2007 to April 2008, Corporal Jarratt deployed a second time to Iraq. During this deployment, he was promoted to Sergeant. Upon returning, Sergeant Jarratt returned to Bravo 1/23 and continued to drill.  

In May 2010, he completed college and was commissioned as a second lieutenant. The following fall, Second Lieutenant Jarratt attend Basic Officer Course in Quantico, VA. 

After completing Aviation Maintenance Officers Course, First Lieutenant Jarratt reported to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 39 in Camp Pendleton, CA. Here, he was the OIC of Airframes Division.  

In 2013, First Lieutenant Jarratt reported to Marine Light Attack Squadron 169 as the Maintenance Material Control Officer. Here, he oversaw the AH platform transition from W to Z model. Taking part in ITX, he helped ensure effective and efficient maintenance in support of operational needs during his tenure.  

In 2014, First Lieutenant Jarratt reported to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 364. As the Assistant Aircraft Maintenance Officer, he oversaw the transition from CH-46 to MV-22.  

In September 2015, Captain Jarratt transitioned into the Selected Marine Corps Reserves and reported to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 41 in Ft Worth, TX. He held a variety of billets including OIC of Airframes, Flight Equipment, and Ground Support Equipment divisions, Assistant Operations Officer, Assistant Maintenance Officer, and Detachment OIC.  

He carried out two deployments during this time as a contractor with Insitu, Inc. These included a deployment with VMU-2 to Iraq in 2016 and a deployment to the 13th MEU with VMU-1 in 2018. 

In February 2020, Captain Jarratt reported to Aviation Support Branch in the Pentagon as the Reserve Aviation Plans and Strategies Officer. During this period, Captain Jarratt took part in the COVID-19 Pandemic Crisis Action Team as an Operations Officer.  

In September 2020, Major Jarratt was to his current rank. He was then assigned to the 2021-2021 Presidential Inauguration Team. Once this assignment was completed, he returned to Aviation Support Branch, completed his tour and then reported to Officer Promotions Branch in Quantico, VA as the Action Officer.  

In 2022, Major Jarratt was given orders to 4th MAW Aviation Logistics Department where he served as Rotary Wing Class Desk Officer.  

In the summer of 2025, Major Jarratt returned to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 41 where he currently serves as I-I OIC.
