Lieutenant Colonel Casey Jackson (Chenoweth) attended the George Washington University in Washington, DC from 2004 to 2008 where she received a BA in Political Science and Criminal Justice. Upon graduation she commissioned in the United States Marine Corps
through an NROTC scholarship. Lieutenant Colonel Jackson completed the Basic School and Logistics Officer Course and then reported to MAG-14 at MCAS Cherry Point in 2009. She dual hatted as the MAG-14 Maintenance Management Officer Armory Officer and Ammunition and Explosives Officer, while also serving as the Logistics Officer for MALS-14.
In 2010, Lieutenant Colonel Jackson was selected to be the Aide-de-Camp and Officer in Charge of the Personal Security Detachment for General Glenn M. Walters, Commanding General, 2d Marine Aircraft Wing Forward. She executed two back-to-back combat
deployments from 2011 to 2012 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. During this time, she acted as the direct liaison between the General and his staff, and executed security during 72 combat missions in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
After her deployments, Lieutenant Colonel Jackson reported to Recruiting Station Indianapolis and served as the Officer Selection Officer in charge of Marine Officer procurement for northern Indiana from 2012 to 2014. Her recruiting station was number one in the district and third in the nation during her tenure.
In 2014, Lieutenant Colonel Jackson transitioned to the United States Marine Corps Reserve to pursue her passion for business. From 2014 to 2017 she was the Recruiting Support Officer for Recruiting Station Richmond while maintaining a full-time academic schedule. Lieutenant Colonel Jackson activated in 2015 to fill the Officer Selection Officer billet for Officer Selection Station Norfolk. In 2016 she was activated again to serve as the Assistant Officer for Procurement for the 4th Marine Corps District. She received her MBA from Purdue University in May 2016. Upon graduation she pursued her passion of owning her own business by opening a winery in Yorktown, VA.
Lieutenant Colonel Jackson's second tour in the United States Marine Corps Reserve was with Marine Forces Command, Fleet Marine Forces Atlantic in Norfolk, VA. From 2017 to 2020 she served as an Operational Planner in G-4 Operations and Plans. Lieutenant Colonel Jackson was activated in 2021 to serve as the Logistics and Supply Officer for Marine Forces Command's Headquarters and Support Battalion. In 2021, she completed Command and Staff at the Joint Forces Staff College in Norfolk, VA, and then took Command as the Commanding Officer, Headquarters Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 4 in Kansas City, Missouri. After Command, Lieutenant Colonel Jackson served as a Future Operations Planner for the Joint Force Maritime Component Command for Marine Forces Europe Africa, leading Operational Planning Teams for U.S. European Command Tier 1 Command Post Exercises.
Lieutenant Colonel Jackson is currently the Commanding Officer of 6th Distribution Support Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group in Charlotte, NC.
Lieutenant Colonel Jackson's personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4x Gold Stars in lieu of 5th award), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, two Afghanistan Campaign Medals, and numerous service awards.
