Captain Zechariah J. Hockenbary
Inspector-Instructor
Supply Company, 4th Combat Readiness Regiment

Captain  Hockenbary, is a native of Radcliff, Kentucky. He commissioned in the Marine Corps on 15 May 2020 and attended The Basic School at Camp Barrett Quantico, Virginia on 06 October 2020. Upon completion, he executed on the job training at 1st Supply Battalion, Camp Pendleton as the Assistant Company Operations Officer. He attended the Supply Chain Management Officers Course at Camp Johnson, North Carolina where he received the Military Occupational Specialty of 3002. 
 
In September 2021, Captain Hockenbary returned to 1st Supply Battalion as the Rations Officer in Charge. Due to his hard work he was given the opportunity to deploy. He was sent on temporary additional duty to 7th Engineer Support Battalion and deployed on the first iteration of Task Force Engineer, later renamed Marine Corps Engineer Detachment. During this tour he held the billet of Supply Officer and helped facilitate the transfer of gear from the United States, to Guam, to Peleliu.  
 
In March 2023,  shortly after returning from his temporary duty assignment, he held the billet of Storage Officer in Charge and was responsible for more than 200 Marines spread amongst five warehouses. Captain Hockenbary then held the billet of Company Executive Officer for two months before deploying to Kuwait and Iraq in support of Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve in October of 2023 where he held the billet of Operations Officer.
 
In April 2024, Captain Hockenbary returned to 1st Supply Battalion and held the billet of Supply Management Unit Customer Service Officer in Charge until he executed orders to Supply Company, 4th Combat Readiness Regiment in Albany, GA where he currently holds the billet of Site Inspector-Instructor. He was promoted to his current rank in October of 2024.
 
Captain Hockenbary holds a Bachelors of the Arts in Law and Society from Purdue University with a minor in Naval Science. Captain Hockenbary's personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and the Joint Service Commendation Medal w/ C device.
