A native of Lithia Springs, Georgia, Lieutenant Colonel Wallace enlisted in the Navy in 2002. After recruit training, he reported to Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in Charleston, South Carolina, for Machinist Mate (Nuclear) training and was selected for the U.S. Naval Academy commissioning program. In May 2008, then Second Lieutenant Wallace received a B.S. in Quantitative Economics and minor in Operations Analysis.
Following initial training, then First Lieutenant Wallace reported to 3d Battalion, 11th Marines. He deployed as the Fire Direction Officer and Headquarters Platoon Commander with Battery L, Battalion Landing Team 1/4 attached to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. Following deployment, First Lieutenant Wallace served as the Battery L Executive Officer and Battalion Assistant Operations Officer. Then Captain Wallace deployed as the Battery M (Security Force) Executive Officer in September 2013 to the Middle East. Upon return, Captain Wallace served as Headquarters Battery Commander until changing duty stations in May 2014.
Captain Wallace reported to 5th Marine Regiment as the Information Operations Officer. While on the Regiment staff, he served as the Future Operations Officer, Assistant Operations Officer, and Operations Officer providing support to multiple subordinate unit deployments and combined joint exercises. In August 2016, Captain Wallace transferred to 11th Marines.
Upon reporting to 2d Battalion, 11th Marines, Captain Wallace was assigned as the Fire Support Officer for 1st Battalion, 5th Marines. In January 2017, Battalion Landing Team 1/5 composited and deployed in support of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. In October 2017, Captain Wallace assumed command of Headquarters and Service Company. He remained with 1st Battalion, 5th Marines as the Battalion Executive Officer following deployment. In July 2018, Captain Wallace transferred to Tactical Training Exercise Control Group, Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command.
In August 2018, then Major Wallace was assigned as the Assistant Fires Lead and subsequently Fires Lead responsible for training Infantry and Artillery unit staffs and personnel on fires and ground combat operations at the regiment-level and below. Major Wallace was also responsible for development and integration of evolving fires concepts and capabilities into service-level live-fire training in accordance with Force Design.
In July 2021, Major Wallace transferred to Army Command and General Staff School as a student. He completed the Information Advantage Scholars Program, which studied the Information domain and emerging technology’s impact on future conflict.
Following school, Major Wallace assumed responsibilities as the Fire Support Platoon Commander for 1st Battalion, 11th Marines; Assistant Fire Support Coordinator for 1st Marines; and Fires and Effects Coordinator for Marine Rotational Force – Darwin. In February 2023, he deployed in support of Marine Rotational Force – Darwin 23.3. Major Wallace redeployed, assumed command, and activated Fire Support Battery, 11th Marines in October 2023 – now Fire Support Battalion, 11th Marines. From July 2024 to May 2025, now Lieutenant Colonel Wallace served as Operations Officer, 11th Marines. In June 2025, Lieutenant Colonel Wallace assumed his present duty as Inspector-Instructor, 3d Battalion, 14th Marines.
His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal with two gold stars and Navy Commendation Medal with two gold stars. He holds a Master in Advanced Studies degree in International Affairs from the University of California San Diego and Master of Military Art and Science degree in Information Advantage from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
