Captain Conner L. W. Gaskins
Commanding Officer
Battery P, 5th Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment

Captain Gaskins graduated high school from Aztec High School in Aztec, NM in 2013. Upon graduation he attended Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU).

In January of 2019 Captain Gaskins attended Officer Candidate School (OCS) as a ground contract. Upon graduation he reported to The Basic School (TBS), upon graduation from TBS Second Lieutenant Gaskins reported to 1st Battalion 10th Marine Regiment 2d Marine Division Camp Lejeune, NC on orders for on the job training (OJT), in October of 2019 Second Lieutenant Gaskins reported to Fort Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma to attend the Marine Artillery Officer Basic Course (MAOBC) and earn the 0802 Field Artillery Officer MOS.

In May of 2020 Second Lieutenant Gaskins reported back to 1st Battalion 10th Marine Regiment 2d Marine Division Camp Lejeune, NC and was assigned to Battery I as a Fire Direction Officer (FDO). During his time with Battery I Lieutenant Gaskins took part in several Service Level Training Exercises (SLTEs) and in February of 2021 he deployed with Battery I on the Unit Deployment Program (UDP) 21.1. Upon returning from UDP 21.1 First Lieutenant Gaskins joined Fire Support Battery 1st Battalion 10th Marine Regiment and supported both 2nd Battalion 2nd Marine Regiment 2d Marine Division and 1st Battalion 8th Marine Regiment 2d Marine Division as their Battalion Fire Support Officer.

In May of 2022 First Lieutenant Gaskins reported to 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion (2nd LAR) 2d Marine Division Camp Lejeune, NC as the Battalion Fire Support Coordinator. During his time with 2nd LAR First Lieutenant Gaskins developed the Battalion Fire Support Standard Operating Procedures utilized during the SPMAGTF BALTOPS Baltic rotational deployment program. Additionally, he worked with the Finnish Nyland Brigades Jagger Battalion during a subject matter expert exchange program in 2022 to assist in the development of Force Design 2030 littoral operations as a mobile forward operating unit.

In March of 2023 First Lieutenant Gaskins reached his end of active service and in April of 2023 through the use of the direct affiliation program joined Battery P 5th Battalion 14th Marine Regiment 4th Marine Division as a Company Fire Support Officer. He was quickly promoted to the position of Battery Executive Officer in June of 2023 upon the completion of ITX 2-23 supporting 2nd Battalion 23rd Marine Regiment. In August of 2023 First Lieutenant Gaskins was promoted to the rank of Captain.

In June of 2025 Captain Gaskins assumed command of Battery P 5th Battalion 14th Marine Regiment upon a successful tour as the Battery Executive officer.

His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
