Major Rynish attended Officer Candidate School in June 2014 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on August 8th 2014. Major Rynish immediately checked into The Basic School (TBS) in Quantico, VA and graduated TBS in March 2015. Upon graduating TBS, Major Rynish reported to the Infantry Officer Course 3-15 in March 2015 and became a 0302 Infantry Officer in June 2015. Following completion of the Infantry Officer Course 3-15, Major Rynish attended Scout Sniper Unit Leaders Course and graduated in July 2015.
Major Rynish reported to 2d Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment as an S3 Training Officer in August 2015. Four months later, Major Rynish was issued a permanent change of association (PCA) to 3d Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment as a Platoon Commander. He then deployed to support Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force - Crisis Response - Central Command (SPMAGTF-CR-CC) in support of OPERATION INHERENT RESOLVE in the fall of 2016.
Upon Major Rynish' s return to the United States, he was appointed as Company Executive Officer for Weapons Company, 3d Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment in May 2017. In October 2017, he executed a PCA to 2d Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, and executed his second deployment with SPMAGTF-CR-CC in support of OPERATION INHERENT RESOLVE as the SPMAGTF Liaison Officer.
The Marine Corps issued a permanent change of station (PCS) to the Marine Corps Information Operations Center (MCIOC) in August 2018 as a Psychological Operations (PSYOP) Detachment Officer in Charge. Major Rynish received additional military occupation specialties as an Information Operations Planner (0510), Advanced MAGTF Information Operations Planner (0550), and a PSYOP Officer (0520). In March 2020, Major Rynish attached to 1st Air Naval Gun Liaison Company (ANGLICO) as an Operations in the Information Environment Planner and executed his third deployment with Task Force Ellis to the Indo-Pacific. He returned to MCIOC in November 2020 and assisted with the Regional Support Team Two until May 2021.
In June 2021, Major Rynish reported to 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment where he served as the Weapons Company Commander and Fire Support Coordinator. He executed his fourth deployment in support of the Marine Rotational Force-Darwin in 2023.
In May 2024, Major Rynish reported to 2/24 23D Marines, 4TH Marine Division to execute Instruction and Inspector duty where he is currently serving.
Major Rynish's personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (second award). Major Rynish is a native of Hortonville WI. He attended the University of Wisconsin Parkside where he was also involved in wrestling and Cru. Major Rynish graduated May 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Teaching Certificate. He taught high school math for two years prior to joining the Marine Corps.
